JasperReportsIntegration 1.3.0.2 available - now supporting JasperReports 4.6.0

Hi guys,

I have updated the JasperReportsIntegration kit. The new libraries 4.6.0 of JasperReports are now included.

The integration kit itself has not changed. Thus you can simply update the JasperReports libraries to version 4.6.0. This process is explained in the FAQ.

You can find all details, FAQ and downloads here: http://www.opal-consulting.de/tools .

Hopefully I will publish another new version soon, I would like to include an Oracle connection pool in order to simplify the configuration of the data sources which is completely different on all J2EE servers :(. I did this for performance reasons but it didn't turn out to be such a good choice.

Cheers,
Dietmar.

Hello !
Really a good work ! Thank you very much !
Is it possible to use the bundle files for internationalization with the "integrator" ?

Yes, I guess it is. AFAIK these bundle files need only be put somewhere on the Java classpath I guess, then the JasperReports engine will find it.

I haven't tried it, but you should be able to place these files into the directory tomcat/webapps/JasperReportsIntegration/WEB-INF/classes.

Cheers,
~Dietmar.

Hi Dietmar,

thanks a lot for the work you did. It works really well. Unfortunately, I'm running into an issue when trying to ge my data from a PL/SQL stored procedure via a SYS_REFCURSOR. The report works fine when previewed in iReport Designer, but when I try to open it using your tool, it bombs out with
net.sf.jasperreports.engine.JRRuntimeException: No query executer factory registered for the 'plsql' language.
I understand that jasperreports-extensions-3.5.3.jar has to be present, but in my installation (which is your standard installation) it is.
So I'm wondering what I'm missing here. Do you have any suggestion?

Thanks,
Jürgen

Hi Jürgen,

could you please post this question again here: http://www.opal-consulting.de/forums ?

The forum is the best place to put this, thus other people will be able to search there and benefit from the answer as well.

Could you also please prepare a simple test case for me to reproduce?

Thanks,
~Dietmar.
